Repeat Prescriptions

It is our policy to regularly review your medications and check that they are still appropriate for your health needs. This is considered to be good practice. Once stabilised, the doctor may put your medications on REPEAT. This means that you can get a repeat of your medications without seeing the doctor each time (that is until it is time for review again!)

The reception staff cannot take requests for prescriptions over the phone or even verbally in person. This is to avoid mistakes and to increase patient safety.

To request a prescription, please use the appropriate Prescription Request Form which is available at the reception desk or attached to your prescription. The form should be handed in at the Reception desk or sent in by post. Having requested your medications, we would ask that you please allow THREE working days, excluding weekends and Bank Holidays, for your request to be processed. Any problems please telephone the surgery.  The prescription can either be collected from the desk or posted back to you (if you include a SAE). You may also choose to have the prescription collected from a pharmacy of your choice by using our electronic prescription service.

Please ask at the reception desk for more details.

On-line prescription request

You can also now request for your repeat prescription on-line using the appropriate on-line form and after you have registered for the service.
