It is our policy to regularly review your medications, this is to ensure that you still require the same dosage and that you do not have any side-effects or complications. It is also sometimes necessary to perform blood tests to ensure that all is well with your medicines and health. Once stabilised, the doctor may put your medications on repeat. This means that you are able to request a repeat of your medications without seeing the doctor each time (that is until it is time for review again!)
The reception staff cannot take requests for prescriptions over the phone or even verbally in person, we also no longer take prescription requests via email. This is to avoid mistakes and to increase patient safety.
To request a prescription, please use the appropriate Prescription Request Form which is available at the reception desk or attached to your prescription. The form should be handed in at the Reception desk or sent in by post. Having requested your medications, we would ask that you please allow THREE full working days AFTER you have handed your prescription in, this does NOT include weekends and Bank Holidays, for your request to be processed.
Processing Times for prescriptions as follows

The prescription can either be collected from the Reception or sent to your nominated pharmacy via EPS (Electronic Prescription Service). If you have any questions please telephone the surgery or speak to one of our Receptionists.
