Repeat Prescriptions

It is our policy to regularly review your medications; this is to ensure that you still require the same dosage and that you do not have any side-effects or complications. It is also sometimes necessary to perform blood tests to ensure that all is well with your medicines and health. Once stabilised, the doctor may put your medications on repeat. This means that you are able to request a repeat of your medications without seeing the doctor each time (that is until it is time for review again!)

The reception staff cannot take requests for prescriptions over the phone or even verbally in person.

This is to avoid mistakes and to increase patient safety.

To request a prescription, please use the appropriate Prescription Request Form which is available at the reception desk or attached to your prescription. The form should be handed in at the Reception desk or sent in by post, alternatively you can submit a request via email to admin.harbourmedical@nhs.net - please ensure you include you FULL NAME and DOB. Prescription request need to state specific items we cannot accept requests that read "pain killers". Any URGENT prescriptions CANNOT be guaranteed the same day, we ask that you request your medication a MINIMUM of 7 days before your current prescription runs out.
