Community Midwives

COMMUNITY MIDWIVES

The community midwives run a weekly clinic here at the Practice on Wednesdays. If you have any queries regarding this please contact the Eastbourne District General Hospital (EDGH) on 01323 417400 and ask to speak to the midwives. Unfortunately the Reception team are unable to make, ammend or cancel any appointments or pass messages on for this clinic.

Additional Roles

We have a range of other professionals who work in the practice to see and help with various aspects of clinical problems:

  • Clinical Pharmacists
    Our Clinical pharmacists help to review patients' medications and will often directly contact patients to discuss and review their medications

  • First Contact Practitioners
    These are senior physiotherapists who can see patients directly and advice on musculo-skeletal problems like back pain, hip pain, knee pain, etc
    They do not carry out hands-on physiotherapy treatment themselves. 

  • Social Prescriber
    Our Social Prescriber works with patients to with social needs to provide support and advice

  • Care Coordinator
    Our Care Coordinator supports groups of patients to ensure better co-ordination of their care and needs eg Care Home patients, housebound patient, patients with chronic illness, etc 
  • Health and Well Being Coach
    Will help patients look after their health especially using exercise and sleep management
